This Privacy Policy describes how Paul Montbleau ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Trivington mobile application ("the App"). By using Trivington, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
When you create an account, we collect the following information:
- Email address
- Username / display name
- Profile information you choose to provide
We also automatically collect certain usage data when you interact with the App, including:
- Game statistics (win rate, accuracy, streaks, response times)
- Device type and operating system version
- General usage patterns and feature interactions
- Crash reports and performance data
We do not collect precise location data, financial information, or data from other apps on your device.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account
- Enable multiplayer matchmaking and gameplay
- Display leaderboards and player statistics
- Facilitate the Friends system and social features
- Improve App performance, fix bugs, and develop new features
- Communicate with you about updates, changes, or support
3. Third-Party Services
Trivington uses Firebase (a Google service) for authentication, real-time data storage, and backend infrastructure. Firebase may collect certain technical data in accordance with Google's privacy policies. We may also integrate third-party analytics tools to help us understand how the App is used. We encourage you to review Google's privacy policy for more details.
In the future, the App may include in-app purchases processed through Apple's App Store. These transactions are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms and privacy policy. We do not collect or store payment information.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Your information may be shared only in the following limited circumstances:
- With other players, limited to your username, profile, and game stats (as part of leaderboards, matchmaking, and the Friends system)
- With service providers who help us operate the App (such as Firebase), under agreements that protect your data
- If required by law, regulation, or valid legal process
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you choose to delete your account, we will remove your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, except where we are required to retain it by law.
6. Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's Privacy
Trivington is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. You may also have the right to opt out of certain data collection. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information below.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the App or by other means. Your continued use of Trivington after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
